My 1998 Mercedes E300 Turbo Diesel wouldn't start on a Friday morning on California Street parked in a street cleaning no parking zone. I called Pete's at 7:20 AM and Mario said they would get on it when AAA towed it in. Kevin diagnosed an electronic K40 relay fix which got me going again that afternoon. Then Easter morning it wouldn't start again due to another problem. Got it towed in on Monday and Kevin spent a bunch more time analyzing the fuel system replacing the fuel filter and bleeding the air out of the lines which is crucial for a diesel. They wouldn't release the car until they were assured it was OK. They were more than fair on the bill considering the time analyzing the tricky turbo diesel issues on an 18 year old Benz with 183,000 miles. Drove to Tahoe last weekend up Highway 80 in the mountains and it ran like a new car getting 35 MPG. Thank you Pete's for the great service.

I have a Mini and this is an lower-priced and more convenient place to take my car. So glad I found Pete's!

Yes, as good as it gets :-) I have a classic MBZ and I wouldn't trust it to any shop other than Pete's. Mostly all I need is maintenance, but what they do is always great. Thank you Pete's!

I’ve always taken my 2008 BMW 328 convertible to the dealership for service but a friend highly recommended Pete's so I decided to give them a try. The new owner, Greg, has a couple of BMWs himself and really knows the cars. My car came out of the shop on time, running perfectly, and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. I am a convert!

I was really hesitant about taking my 2008 328 convertible to an independent shop, but a friend highly recommended Pete's Inc. for BMWs, so I finally brought mine in. The owner, Greg, has a couple of BMWs himself and really knows the cars! My car came out of the shop on time, running perfectly, and WELL under what the dealership would have charged me. I am a convert!

Pete's Inc. deserves 10 stars, not just 5 and this is due to Mario the manager of the Clay street facility. Mario is like a doctor for your car, intelligent, knows his cars, listens to you, and is more than fair with pricing. Mario gets the job done and is one of the nicest people to work with. Mario has serviced two Mercedes for us and done the best job. He can anticipate what needs to be done and is always right on with his analysis. I would recommend Mario 100 times over for taking care of and maintaining my car.

Why did I take my Mercedes to the dealership for routine maintenance when Pete's is around? Mario is awesome, he can always get you in. My brakes were squeaking a little I thought, oh no here it comes....squeaking brakes? That will be $$$$$. Nope, they took a look said your brakes are perfectly fine if you can live with the squeak we don't have to do anything. If it doesn't go away and you want us take another look at it bring it back. The squeak went away about a week later. I love these guys! This was the third time I took my car to Pete's... I'm never disappointed. Thanks Mario!

After using Pete’s services over many years, I can categorically say that work is completed properly, on time, and that the price is always fair. I recommend Pete's to all of my MBZ and BMW driving friends.

So, so nice to have the pleasure of working with a great business with knowledgeable, decent, high integrity folks. I'll go back. Situation: the car horn on my old Mercedes SL went out this morning. Drats. Love the old thing, but it needs - ahem - a lot of love and patience. My husband usually takes the car to a mechanic in San Bruno. I had no time to get down there. Looked on my phone at the Yelp app. I had an hour in the morning. Could I do the impossible and actually TAKE CARE of this immediately? And not just by anyone - but professional, honest folks who could do this fast? I know, it's a LOT to ask. The magic trio. Usually very, very hard to find. Well - Pete's had some good recos on Yelp and was close by. I took a deep breath and decided to try it. Called. While they were full - whomever answered the phone sounded friendly (and knowledgeable) and he let me scoot in (it was 7:45 a.m. and the mechanics get there at 8). The deal: if it was just a fuse, they'd handle it right away - otherwise, I'd have to schedule another time & come back so they could do a diagnostic (and he outlined a couple of things that made sense to me). whew. Straight talking professional on the phone. All seemed headed in the right direction. 4 minutes later. I park my car, leave my keys, have a quick chat - and then go into the waiting room to make a few phone calls. Ten minutes later I hear the friendly toot of my horn. HURRAH!! I see the mechanic exiting my car - talk to the fellow behind the counter. I take my credit card out. He grabs some paperwork printing and tells me the price: "that'll be $1.65." WHAT?! I know a fuse is cheap and that it took minutes, but still! You got to appreciate the honesty and good will. I asked him about the labor cost and he chuckled. I took two $1 bills out of my wallet and paid him. Too good to be true, I have literally been walking with a slight bounce in my step all day. Yes, "little things" like this can make me happy. :) Another plus: looks like I have someone I can bring my car back to - that's here in the city. THANK YOU!

I really like these guys. I'll be taking my car back for any service/mechanical problems as long as I own a Benz.
